Talking therapy is based upon the individual needs and chosen goals of the client – you.

The therapist has a responsibility to provide a safe and
non-judgmental space
by offering you the opportunity to share your personal reflections and explore insights into your life.
 
Consultations include a range of counselling techniques (person centred, solution focused and strengths based), and support an integrated model, designed to align with best practices. Your needs are the priority. Collaboration between the client and therapist promotes positive outcomes to meet personal challenges.

There is no one size fits all... Counselling or talking therapies can support you in developing strategies to manage life’s challenges and skills in emotional regulation. Each relationship, between the client and therapist, is personal and unique. Therefore, the therapy techniques and models are also unique to best meet your needs.

The Therapist

I have been in therapeutic practice for more than 30 years and my experience has taught me to trust in the expertise of the individual sitting opposite. No one knows you better than you! By working in a person-centred way, I am working in partnership with you, the individual, to plan for your care and support. You, the client, are at the centre of the care planning process and are in control of all choices and decisions made about your life.
 
I work to ensure your voice is being heard and offer therapy as an opportunity to help you gain deeper insights into your needs. This level of engagement ensures your treatment plan is supporting you to progress and to help you find balance in the ups and downs of life.
 
My counselling skills are underpinned by academic qualifications in health sciences, and my ability to build positive therapeutic relationships to best support your healing journey.
